Kash

Inspired by the traditional Bulgarian Tcherga carpet, the KASH line is handmade by small cooperatives of Bulgarian craftswomen who have kept alive this time-honoured manual technique for weaving wool.

The Tcherga carpets, whose use spread throughout the country under the Ottoman domination, still provide a touch of authentic folklore in many country homes, presenting a rich store of imaginary that KASH reformulates in a more sober, refined manner.

The typical striped patterns are transposed into two new scales of colours, centring around hues of green and red, joined by an abstract linear composition in yellow and blue set against a grey background.
